1. Who We Are
Compres is a product of AbiADIA, operated from Spain. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@compres.io.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect minimal data to provide our service:
- API Request Data: The text you send to our API is processed in real-time to generate results. We do not store the content of your text after processing is complete.
- Usage Metadata: We log API key identifiers, endpoint used, timestamps, token counts, and response times for billing and rate-limiting purposes.
- Account Data: Email address and payment information (processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number).
- Analytics: We use privacy-respecting analytics that do not track individual users across sites.
3. How We Process Your Text
Your text is sent to our AI processing provider (currently Groq Inc.) for inference. The processing provider's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy and Data Processing Agreements. Key points:
- Text is processed in real-time and not stored by the processing provider after response generation.
- We use enterprise-grade providers with appropriate security certifications.
- We do not use your text to train AI models.
4. Data Retention
- API request content: Not retained after processing.
- Usage metadata: Retained for 90 days for billing and abuse prevention, then deleted.
- Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account closure.
- Invoices: Retained for 7 years as required by Spanish tax law.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
As a user within the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Restriction: Request limitation of processing in certain circumstances.

6. Data Security
- All API traffic is encrypted via TLS 1.2+.
- API keys are hashed and never stored in plain text.
- Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 compliant).
- Access to production systems is restricted and logged.

Our landing page uses only essential cookies for language preference. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking.

Your data may be processed outside the EEA (e.g., United States). We ensure appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions.

Compres is not intended for use by individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
